Hi, I'm Isaac Carvajal
a proud Bucaramanga native who swapped tropical landscapes for the hustle of New York City in 2017. Why? To perfect my English, of course (I think I’m getting the hang of it). After that, I dove headfirst into photography at LaGuardia Community College, where I had the honor of receiving the Arnold and Augusta Foundation Scholarship. Some of my work even made it into an exhibition, I guess you could say I’m "kind of a big deal."
What drives me as a photographer? It’s all about enjoying the moments I capture. But let’s get real: my true passion lies in concert photography. There’s something magical about sneaking past security with nothing but a camera, a dream, and maybe a ticket that cost way more than I’d like to admit, just to photograph the artists I grew up listening to. It’s like being in two worlds at once the fan and the photographer. And that’s where the magic happens.
When I'm not dodging security at concerts, I’ve also had the pleasure of working at Turi Productions, where I took headshots for corporate clients and actors. And as a Teaching Artist with the JHP Project, I get to share my love of photography with students across NYC schools.
So, whether I’m capturing a live performance or mentoring the next generation of photographers, my goal is simple: to create, inspire, and occasionally sneak past a few security guards.
