In March 2026, I was invited to document history in the making. StoryCorps and the New York Public Library partnered to ask New Yorkers what it truly means to be American as the country approaches its 250th anniversary—and I had the honor of photographing those intimate conversations.
That work evolved into a remarkable exhibition titled "We the People: Reflections on America at 250,"
currently on display at the NYPL until next year.
